5 SONGS YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS WEEK
1. DAVID ARCHULETA | BE THAT FOR YOU
Singer-songwriter David Archuleta is back with a brand new single called "Be That For You." It’s been a while since we have heard a romantic vibe from him. He wrote ‘Be That For You’ as he wanted it to be a much more light-hearted love song and have a feel-good vibe and yet still make you want to dance. Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on the second season of "Star Search" known as "Star Search 2" and in 2008, he finished second on the seventh season of American Idol.
2. LXANDRA | SABOTAGE
Rising Finnish singer-songwriter Lxandra has returned with a new song titled "Sabotage." The song will be lifted from her upcoming album "Careful What You Dream Of" which is dropping on June 11, 2021. Lxandra is a soulful, arty performer whose moody sound touches upon folk music, electronic pop, and dance music. She delivered her debut EP, "Another Lesson Learned," in 2019.
3. RALPH | TOMMY
Canadian pop star Ralph released her new single and an accompanying music video for “Tommy." The video is the "Bridgerton" sequel we didn't know we needed — and a welcome follow-up to TikTok's "royalty core" trend from earlier this year. This bright single is the first off Ralph's forthcoming EP, "GRADIENCE", and returns to the ultra-glam, nostalgic sound of her self-titled debut in 2017. "Tommy" was created on a "hot July day" in the studio of Ralph's producer Derek Hoffman.
4. JULIAN LAMADID | 15 MINUTES
Emerging singer Julian Lamadrid is back with his new single "15 Minutes." The new track arrived Thursday along with a dazzling set of visuals. It's the latest standout for the Mexican singer-songwriter, who co-produced the new song along with Paul Meany. The song speaks about those dark times of distrust and limited social interaction, ‘15 Minutes’ acts as a catalyst for change. From a vocal and lyrical standpoint, it is so cool getting to see the intentionality that Julian puts in his art.
5. ASHLEY KUTCHER | IF I COULD
22-year-old Ashley Kutcher is an emerging artist-to-watch as she shares her new single “If I Could” with an accompanying music video -out now via Darkroom / Interscope Records. Speaking about the track, it is a very unique release because it was the first song she has ever written about someone else’s battles but it is a stellar track. This release stands out as the official follow-up to her breakout song “Love You From A Distance.” After eclipsing 13 million streams on Spotify, she shows no signs of stopping or slowing down.
