LIVE PERFORMANCE: ED SHEERAN | THE JOKER AND THE QUEEN (FT. BBC CONCERT ORCHESTRA (BBC RADIO 2)

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran appeared on BBC Radio 2 Piano Month to perform “The Joker And The Queen” at Maida Vale Studios in London. The song is included on his fifth studio album “=.” It was written by Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid, Fred and Sam Roman. The global megastar completes an incredible four weeks of live music - the first in a decade for the station. Since his comeback in June 2021, Ed has sat atop the charts worldwide, and in the UK, he spent 15 weeks at No.1 with his singles, "Bad Habits" and "Shivers." Moreover, with the help of his recent single releases, he achieved another milestone in the UK, becoming the first British Solo Artist to claim 52 weeks – an entire year – at No.1 on the Official UK Singles Chart, with only Elvis Presley and The Beatles achieving more overall weeks at the top. Ed will embark on the first leg of his "+ - = ÷ x Tour" - "The Mathematics Tour" - from April 2022, which will see him play across the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Central Europe. Radio 2 delivered live music to listeners throughout the lockdown with House Music sessions - launched in 2020 - featuring some of the biggest names in music, including Rag N Bone Man, Barry Manilow, Melanie C, Cliff Richard, Ronan Keating, Travis, Aloe Blacc and Nell Bryden, with many accompanied remotely by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
