NEW ALBUM: AGNES | MAGIC STILL EXISTS

Sweden's Agnes has dropped her new album "Magic Still Exists," her first in over nine years which proceeds with recent singles "24 Hours" and "Here Comes The Night." Agnes said of the album, “Magic Still Exists is a collection of epiphanies about what it means to be human and our need to search for something bigger, something more constantly. The album was made together with friends, and the process has therefore been very intimate. Something that made me relax, let go and have fun with it”. "Magic Still Exists" is an entirely spiritual body of work from the Swedish-born artist, still only in her early 30’s, creating a long-form dancefloor masterpiece beyond her years. Drawing musical inspiration from Giorgio Moroder, Sun Ra, and Sylvester, she has made her captivating modern take on the genre, which Agnes calls “spiritual disco.” She rose to fame as the winner of Idol 2005, the second season of the Swedish Idol series. She was then signed to Sony Music, through which she released her self-titled debut album, "Agnes," and follow-up, "Stronger," both of which topped the Swedish Top 60 Albums Chart. In early 2008, it was announced that Agnes had parted ways with her record label and was now signed to small independent label Roxy Recordings. The spiritual disco queen has the voice and beats and the all-important born attitude and visual instincts. The complete package is a rarity, which can be compared with Grace Jones, Róisín Murphy, and Kylie Minogue.
