Almost two years after its release, pop darling Allie X releases the deluxe version of her album "Cape Cod," which surpasses the standard version. It includes a 2nd disc with five new songs that include "Cape God Theme," "Milk," "Limited Love," "Anchor," and "Rising Tide." "Cape God," initially released in February 2020 via Twin Music, is a gem that everyone should discover. The album is described as a carefully constructed meditation on universal themes of identity and belonging and, most importantly, a declaration of the autonomy we have when we redefine ourselves. It’s an album that, compared to records like "Super Sunset" and "CollXtion II," definitely lets us know who Allie X is. "Cape God" is an alternative record that also deals with issues such as alienation, the inability to fully adapt to the taste of others and dealing with our inner demons in a pop way. However, there is no lack of lighter moments such as “Super Duper Party People” or “Learning in Public.” It’s no coincidence that the latter is the album’s closing track. Her North American headline tour promises to transport fans to the surreal world of “Cape God.” After that, Allie was going to embark on the Cape God Tour that was set to begin on March 22nd, 2020; however, Allie announced on all her social media on March 16th, 2020, that the tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Allie renewed the previous tour and will embark on the Cape God World Tour on March 17th, 2022, and end on May 14th, 2022.
