NEW ALBUM: AVA MAX | HEAVEN AND HELL (JAPANESE EDITION)

Ava Max first gained worldwide momentum in 2018 with her surprise breakout hit “Sweet But Psycho." which is lifted from her debut album "Heaven & Hell" on September 18, 2020, via Atlantic Records. Today, we get a Japanese Edition of the album that includes 5 bonus tracks, including "Not Your Barbie Girl." Max recorded the album from December 2018 to March 2020, where she collaborated with composers including Cirkut, RedOne, Charlie Puth, and Bonnie McKee. Musically, "Heaven & Hell" is a pop, dance-pop, and electropop record split into two sides; the former contains anthemic sounds, while the latter incorporates darker melodies. Her breakout hit, "Sweet but Psycho," debuted at number 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the December 29, 2018, issue of Billboard. The song peaked at number 10 on the week of June 14, 2019, and remained at the position for three consecutive weeks, earning Max her first top-10 song in the US.
