Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope brings her two very different musical sides on her new album, "Thrive," via Awake Music. The album, co-produced by Nick Wheeler (All-American Rejects) and Karen Fairchild (Little Big Town), also features previous singles ‘What The Stars See," "Say It First," and "Tomorrow Night," all released earlier this year. "I'm so proud of it. During the pandemic, I did a lot of reflecting, like everybody, I'm sure. And [I'm] just kind of incorporating more of my pop-punk roots into music now. I've always been singing country music as a kid, but pop-punk has always been a part of my journey as well," the singer explains. "I just found this sweet spot of incorporating all of it and finding that blend. I hope that people get that from the album." Pope also explained naming the album "Thrive," saying that the word explodes with empowerment and endurance. In addition to her solo country career, Pope was lead vocalist and songwriter for Florida-based pop-punk group Hey Monday between 2008-2011. The band is currently on hiatus. Be sure to check out Cassadee’s new line of “Y’alternative” merchandise, available now, including t-shirts, hats and stickers. “Y’alternative” inventory is available both as a bundle pack, or fans can purchase their favourite items individually.
