U.K. singer/songwriter Jack Savoretti has released his new album "Europiana" via Capitol Records. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, Savoretti worked with producers including Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Florence & The Machine) and Mark Ralph (Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Jax Jones) approaching the album with more confidence and imagination than ever before. Says Savoretti, “Europiana isn’t a sound. It’s references and inspirations and the emotions they evoke. It’s the music of my childhood summers, remade for today.” With an Italian father, German-Polish mother and UK upbringing, the dashing, rough-voiced singer-songwriter is well placed to do so. The 37-year-old has even invented a name for this new genre – Europiana. “I was definitely trying to recreate that feeling of being on holiday,” he explains over Zoom. “I was trying to create this kind of escapism – this world that we weren’t being allowed to be a part of because of Covid and because of lockdown.” The seventh full-length from Savoretti, "Europiana," serves as the follow-up to the singer/songwriter’s breakthrough 2019 album "Singing to Strangers," his third consecutive gold seller and first No. 1 U.K. Album chart, which has amassed over 65 million streams globally.
