NEW ALBUM: LADY GAGA | BORN THIS WAY THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY
Little Monsters, get ready to put your paws up — Lady Gaga has re-released one of her most groundbreaking albums, "Born This Way." The new edition of the album "Born This Way The Tenth Anniversary," which features all 14 songs off the original version, comes with new packaging and six additional tracks. Gaga taps different artists who are "representing and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community" to reimagine the songs of "Born This Way." “Born This Way, my song and album, were inspired by Carl Bean, a gay black religious activist who preached, sung, and wrote about being ‘Born This Way.’ Notably, his early work was in 1975, 11 years before I was born,” Gaga explained. “Thank you for decades of relentless love, bravery, and a reason to sing. So we can all feel joy because we deserve joy. Because we reserve the right to inspire tolerance, acceptance, and freedom for all.” While five selected songs are covers by different artists, include “Marry The Night” (Kylie Minogue), Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)” (The Highwomen), “Yoü and I” (Ben Platt), “The Edge of Glory” (Years & Years), and “Born This Way (The Country Road Version) (Orville Peck). "Born This Way The Tenth Anniversary Edition" comes alongside releasing a new collection of merchandise available for pre-order from the official Lady Gaga website.
