NEW ALBUM: LIL NAS X | MONTERO

Lil Nas X has unleashed his first full-length debut studio album "Montero" which includes the singles “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” “Sun Goes Down,” and “Industry Baby.” the alum includes of the biggest singers such as songs with Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus. “Creating this album has been therapy for me,” he said in a statement. “I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.” Lil Nas started this music era with the title track “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),” which saw him brazenly putting his sexuality at the forefront. “Dear 14-year-old Montero, I wrote a song with our name in it,” he wrote in May. “I know we promised to never come out publicly, I know we promised to never be ‘that’ type of gay person, I know we promised to die with this secret, but this will open doors for many other queer people to simply exist.” Lil Nas X wants fans to experience "Montero" as a complete album, rather than focus on some individual songs, as it tells the story of his personal and professional journey so far. “I wanted people to get to know Montero,” he says, referring to his birth name. “Get to know my life story, to hear things that are happening in my life — things that have happened, and things I'm hoping for. Past, present, future, you know?”
