Pop princess Loren Allred has dropped her debut EP Late Bloomer, which will have you travel through emotions. From wanting to fall in love in “This Summer” to the moody person we’re left with at the end of the relationship in her rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” Allred’s got you covered. Her ability to contrast beautiful airy instrumentals with the cold truth about how sometimes we are afraid to be ourselves is what makes her music so relatable. “Til I Found You” was the lead single off the EP Allred said the track was so fun to write and is one of her favourites on the record. She wanted to write a song about how expectations of finding “the one” can often be stifling and how staying open-minded can lead you right where you belong. The artist pointed out that every single song on the EP was cathartic to write. Her producer has helped her work through so many emotions and was integral in helping her put them into music. In the age of social media and unreachable beauty standards, Allred hopes that “Late Bloomer” can be a reminder that who you are is more than enough. It touches on bullying, ageism, unrealistic expectations, heartbreak and learning to love yourself through it all.
