NEW ALBUM: MADISON OLDS | DROWNING IN MY THOUGHTS

Although 2020 produced one of the most trying time spans for independent artists in recent memory, Vancouver-based singer Madison Olds managed to overcome the odds and quickly transcended into a bonafide pop music sensation. Olds proves that on her new EP titled "Drowning In My Thoughts," she has a knack for penning delicious pop songs. Olds scored a radio hit this year with the disc’s opener, “Best Part of Me,” which reached the top 30 of several Mediabase and Billboard charts, including #22 on Billboard’s Emerging Canadian Artist chart. Its funky follow-up, “If You Wanna,” furthers the fun. “3’S a Crowd” feels like a video game arcade in a Caribbean setting. “Cliché of Falling in Love” nicely sets up an irresistibly bouncy chorus. Madison enters into a duet with Josh Ronen on the beautiful ballad “Sorry.” Finishing off with the fresh and satisfying “All the Small Things” and playful bop “Bad Thing." More recently, Olds was the recipient of the iHeart Radio Future Star of the Month, and over the past few months, her TikTok account has blown up to the tune of almost 500,000 followers. Although Olds’ star continues to rise, she maintains a genuine, down-to-earth authenticity while utilizing her newfound stardom to advocate for important issues such as stem cell research.
