NEW ALBUM: MARIAH THE SCIENTIST | THE INTERMISSION (EP)

Singer-songwriter Mariah Amani Buckles, known professionally as Mariah, the Scientist, has released her new extended play (EP), “The Intermission.” Mariah’s stage name came from her genuine love of science. She released her debut EP, the six-track To Die For, on SoundCloud in 2018. Mariah has cited OutKast and Frank Ocean as major songwriting influences, and Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey for inspiration as a performer. Mariah, the Scientist, was discovered by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, later signing her to One Umbrella Records. Her touring schedule in 2020 includes bookings at Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Pitchfork Music Festival.
