NEW ALBUM: THE VERONICAS | HUMAN
Australian pop sisters duo The Veronicas have released their fourth studio album, “HUMAN,” which is the follow-up to "GODZILLA" that dropped May 28th. It saw the re-emergence of the writing trinity of Toby Gad, Lisa Origliasso and Jessica Origliasso for the first time since The Veronicas’ international hit "Untouched." The new album "HUMAN" showcases the Origliasso twins as “vulnerable songwriters.” But listening to these albums back-to-back, they’re not entirely different beasts. The album opens soothingly with the power ballad "Without You," with minimal instrumentation immediately enhancing Lisa and Jessica’s vocal virtuosity. On track two makes an edgy, crunchy-trap-beat detour, featuring artist Muki delivering the repetitive, accusatory hook. There are also appropriate future-dancefloor moments, including the boppy "On Your Side," disco-infused "Jealous," and "Goodbye." At the same time, dancing to "Out Of Time" with a surprise Rüfüs Du Sol-level rave breakdown. In addition, The duo recently released their own ethical perfume brand, Untouched, launched their fashion collaboration with Jagger and Stone and starred in their very own MTV-produced reality show Blood Is For Life and will appear in the coming months on Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice.
