Tinashe independently released the fantastic "333" last year — her fifth studio album and 10th release overall — and now she has released a deluxe edition that features four brand new songs. The deluxe edition of "333" includes new titles "Something Like a Heartbreak," "HMU for a Good Time (ft. Channel Tres)," "Naturally," and "Woke Up Blessed." Originally released last August, "333" also includes the summer jam “Pasadena” featuring Buddy, the dance-bop “Bouncin, “the care-free track “I Can See The Future, “the Jeremih-assisted "X,“ and more. The project features collaborations with Jeremih, Kaytranada, Kaash Paige, Absolutely, Wax Motif, Buddy, Channel Tres, and Tinashe’s brother's Quiet Child and Kudzai. “I named it 333 because I really felt like I was on the right path, in alignment with what I was meant to do. I just wanted to acknowledge that,” Tinashe said about the album title. Giving four out of five stars, NME said 333 “furthers the 28-year-old’s narrative of being whatever she wants to be musically”. The album also “gives off the same energy as Tinashe’s early mixtapes such as Black Water and In Case We Die, reminding us of the singular artist that [she] is and always has been.” Tinashe released a futuristic video for “X” last month, where she sees herself in a crystal ball. "333" showed up on Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2021 list.
