Multi-platinum-selling rock band X Ambassadors have released their third studio album entitled "Beautiful Liars" via KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records/Polydor. Their latest single, "Okay," along with the darkly cinematic track "Own My Monster," will both songs will be featured on the album. It is a tribute to the sci-fi and fantasy audio dramas the brothers listened to growing up, "The Beautiful Liar" tells the story of Clementine, a blind teenager who struggles with anxiety, discovers her long-dormant superpowers and, eventually, attains self-acceptance. The band also took songwriting inspiration from the state of the world during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the political unrest that unfolded in the U.S. under Trump's presidency, having to face an unpredictable future for their careers as musicians and the entertainment industry overall. We connected with Harris to learn more about X Ambassadors' creative process during the pandemic, pushing for inclusivity in the music industry and the satellite projects of "The Beautiful Liar." The new album marks the start of a compelling new lyrical direction for X Ambassadors and is the first new music from the band since their hyper-creative multi-part project (Eg). A three-song effort released in early 2021 (Eg) found the band collaborating with a series of similarly forward-thinking artists, including Earl St. Clair, Terrell Hines, and Jensen McRae. The band will be visiting the U.K. in 2022 to support the new album "The Beautiful Liar" and will play two very special shows in February.
