Brandi Carlile is ready to follow up on her Grammy-winning album "By the Way, I Forgive You" this fall. The new album, titled "In These Silent Days," arrives via Low Country Sound/Elektra Records on October 1st. Today we get a taste of a new single, “Right on Time,” Carlile knows better than most how to convey wounded grace and strength in slow-building ballads, and "Right On Time" fits squarely into that tradition: The powerful song — and its video, which was directed by none other than Courteney Cox — reflects on conflict, regret and the singer's stubborn resolve to do better tomorrow than she did today. Directed by “Friends” star Courteney Cox, the cinematic video for “Right On Time” features a glammed-up Carlile, evoking David Bowie and her hero-buddy Elton John, solemnly walking through a theatre’s backstage after the rapturous applause fades. As for her upcoming new album “In These Silent Days,” Carlile reassembled her dream team, working with producers Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings, with whom she cut “By the Way, I Forgive You.” She and Jennings also teamed up on Tanya Tucker’s acclaimed comeback album “While I’m Livin’,” which accounted for a couple of Grammys.
