NEW MUSIC: CHARLEY | I SUCK AT BEING LONELY

Last year, SBS the national broadcaster of Australia announced the return of their live selection format, Eurovision – Australia Decides 2022. Charley has released her entry for the national final. She hopes to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, with the song “I Suck At Being Lonely” on February 26. “I Suck At Being Lonely” was co-written with Jim Alxndr, who has worked with artists such as, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jack Garrett and Ruel. Together they have created an emotional heartbreak anthem. As a new addition to Australia’s growing pop music community, Charley’s discography, and her Eurovision entry, is 100% of herself. More than just a song, “I Suck At Being Lonely” is evidently a cathartic release of emotion post-breakup. A her subtle vocal melody is supported by a gentle instrumental build, with Carly’s layered vocals showcasing a simple, yet very expensive, production. “I Suck At Being Lonely” sucks you into Charley’s trauma and hooks you in hard. A newcomer to the industry. Sydney-based, but Gold Coast-raised Charley, will be the home town hero for the Eurovision – Australia Decides audience later this month. The talented singer-songwriter delivers edgy pop with personal emotion and connection to the songs. Already this year she has successfully released “Hard For Me” and “Arizona” through EMI Australia. As well as working with established artists such as CXLOE, touring with her in America. Meanwhile she cites her musical inspirations as Kelly Clarkson and The Veronicas.
