She wrote the song with Johan Lindbrandt and Robin Stjernberg, and Nowell Emanuel directed the accompanying music video. Clara Mae shared on social media, “'Not Sad Anymore' is out in the world! It's no secret I love to write about those things that hurt a little extra. So writing a song about actually feeling good was something completely new to me and something I've always had a hard time doing. Therefore, I feel extra proud about this one. It's written together with 2 of my favourites Johan Lindbrandt and Robin Stjernberg.” She an artist to watch for as her debut original single, "I'm Not Her," was released in November 2017 via Big Beat/Atlantic Records. The catchy track clearly showed that the young singer was poised for stardom, accumulating nearly 5 million combined streams and establishing her electro-infused pop sound, rich vocal prowess, and empowering lyrical style.
