Coldplay has shared their new single titled “Higher Power.” which was produced by Max Martin. The band premiered via an extraterrestrial transmission (complete with dancing alien holograms) from the International Space Station. The band also linked up virtually with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently aboard the ISS. The group began work on the track early last year. After releasing the double LP "Everyday Life" in 2019, Coldplay said they would no longer tour due to concerns over the environmental impact. More recently, singer Chris Martin joined Burna Boy on “Monsters You Made” from last year's "Twice as Tall." The new track is the closest release to the band’s 2011 triumphant technicolour album "Mylo Xyloto," a sound defined by waterfalls of synths, commanding basslines and rich, textured vocals welcoming a wide variety of vibrant voices into the fold.
