NEW MUSIC: DAUGHTRY | HEAVY IS THE CROWN

The rock band Daughtry formed and fronted by namesake Chris Daughtry, a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol, just dropped a new single, “Heavy is the Crown.” The dense, hard-driving rocker is about how freeing and frightening taking care of one’s domain can be. The song will be from their upcoming album Chris is working on, released on his own independent label through Warner Music’s Alternative Distribution Alliance. Chris recently parted ways with long-time label RCA because the contract ended, and all parties decided to move on.
