NEW MUSIC: DEVAN | FEEL BETTER

London-raised singer-songwriter Devan from Toronto, Canada, released her third single, "Feel Better," from her upcoming second EP, “Liquid Sunshine.” "Feel Better" is about someone close to you going through a tough time. With mental health struggles like anxiety and depression, sometimes there’s nothing you can do to help the situation, even though you so badly wish you could. This song came out of that feeling of helplessness and is Devan’s way of saying I’m here for you, even if I can’t fix this. "Feel Better" contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals. The melancholic tune possesses lush instrumentation flavoured with contemporary and indie-pop elements. Furthermore, “Feel Better” serves as a tasty entrée to what listeners can expect to hear on Devan’s forthcoming EP, “Liquid Sunshine,” set to be released on October 15, 2021. For inspiration, Devan looks to modern stars like Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, Dominic Fike, and influential performers such as Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, and John Mayer. Despite their different musical styles, she considers all of them to be “songwriters at their core, who can dress up their songs in lots of different ways and still have them feel authentic.”
