Ed Sheeran has dropped the remix of his hit single ‘Shivers’ in collaboration with K-pop stars Jessi and Sunmi. The reworked version of ‘Shivers’ opens with a brand-new verse in both Korean and English. The ‘Shivers’ remix was first announced last week, alongside a brief snippet of the song shared by Sunmi. The song's original version was first released in September as the second single from Ed Sheeran’s ‘=’ album, following smash hit "Bad Habits." Jessi is a Korean-American rapper whose most recent release was the single "Cold Blooded," collaborating with the Mnet reality dance competition programme "Street Woman Fighter." She's had multiple hit singles throughout her nearly decade-long career, such as "Nunu Nana" and "What Type Of X." Sheeran is no stranger to the K-pop world, having already worked with BTS on "Permission to Dance" and the group's "Map Of The Soul: Persona" song "Make It Right." Ed Sheeran’s new album "=" had topped charts in over 20 countries worldwide, for which he had recently taken home two awards at the 2021 MTV EMAs earlier this week, in the Best Artist and Best Song (for ‘Bad Habits’) categories. The British singer-songwriter will also be performing at this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards as the awards show’s global artist representative of the year. It was also announced that Sheeran would be preparing a “new version” of his chart-topping single, "Bad Habits," to be performed exclusively for the award ceremony.
