British singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé has shared her "Acoustic" release via Chrysalis Records. It includes two new, stripped-back versions of her previous singles, “Look What You’ve Done” and “Family,” beautifully showcasing the emotional and honest songwriting she has become known for. ‘Acoustic’ arrives alongside a video for “Look What You’ve Done (Acoustic Version),” which finds Emeli performing the song solo at the piano, where the self-produced song began to take shape. On the first verse, she barrels through stellar lyrics: “I'll shout it from the mountains / I'll let it float across the breeze / You’re deep within my conscience / Oh, you’ve made it to my dreams / I feel you in my bloodstream / You're in my DNA / Still every time you touch me / I don’t know what to say.” Of recording the latter, Sandé shared: “I loved recording this song acoustically; it brought out a deeper feeling to the lyric for me. It was an honour to perform with Yoana Karemova, who brought power and sensitivity to the beautiful piano arrangement by Raymond Wuiman Yiu. Performing together felt magical!” “Family” and “Look What You’ve Done” were shared earlier this year as the first offerings from Sandé’s forthcoming fourth studio album, which will be her first since 2019’s "Real Life." The singer has described this new era of her musicianship as “an ode to resilience, rebirth, and renewal.”
