NEW MUSIC: GEORGE EZRA | ANYONE FOR YOU (ACOUSTIC)

George Ezra has released an acoustic version of his latest single, "Anyone For You," lifted from his third album, "Gold Rush Kid." Ezra had trailed his return with a cryptic clip, posted to the singer-songwriter‘s social media channels, shared an acapella snippet of new music. Speaking about the song, Ezra said, "Anyone For You" is a patchwork of lyric ideas found in old notebooks and chance moments shared between musicians in the studio. It’s joyous and infectious, and I can’t help but smile every time I sing it." The singer-songwriter has already unveiled a new website called "Gold Rush Kid," which appears to be the holding page for his forthcoming new record. Fans of Ezra can sign up for a newsletter on the site for more information. Explaining the title, Ezra said: “The Gold Rush Kid? That’s me.” He added of the album’s 12 songs, “they sound like me. That’s what ties them together.” Ezra will also return to the live stage later this year, with significant dates at London’s Finsbury Park and Boardmasters Festival 2022 planned so far. Announcing the Finsbury Park gig last year (which will see Blossoms, Holly Humberstone “and more” supporting), Ezra told his fans in a video message: “I want you to be there. I need you to be there. It’s going to be a party.” Ezra was one of the artists who performed during Glastonbury’s Live At Worthy Farm Livestream last summer, which took place online after the festival was cancelled for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic.
