NEW MUSIC: J. HOLIDAY | ZERO TO SIXTY
Updated: Jan 27, 2022

R&B singer J. Holiday’s first album in eight years is on its way. "Time," the R&B veteran’s follow-up to 2014’s "Guilty Conscience," arrives on Feb. 7 via HMG/MilknSizz Music. Last year, he released the lead single “Ride,” Now he’s back with “Zero To Sixty.” The singer’s new single is just another bedroom banger. “Time” is the follow-up to the critically panned “Guilty Conscience” album from 2014. J. Holiday and MilknSizz collaborated on the entire project, which they both wrote and produced. Four of the 11 tracks from the forthcoming album have already been released, one of which hit streaming platforms this week: “Zero to Sixty.” J. Holiday spoke about the upcoming project, and this is what he had to say about the sound: “On this album, we played with a lot of different sounds. A lot of people have never heard me in my lower register like my new song “Ride.” I don't normally sing in that key. You have to expand your horizons and let your fans see what you're capable of. Nodding to his slow and steamy trademark croons, “Zero to Sixty” is backed by throbbing bass. Lyrically, he gives off this illusion that a mystery woman hopped in his ride and used him for his joystick. Since 2018, J. Holiday has been sharing singles from "Time." It started with “25 to Life.” Then he returned in 2019 with “Feels Like,” an enticing call to the dance floor that is steeped in island vibes.
