NEW MUSIC: JAMES BLAKE | PICK ME UP (FROM "EUPHORIA" AN HBO ORIGINAL SERIES)
After a busy 2021 of songwriting and technical setbacks due to the pandemic, James Blake finally released his fifth studio album, "Friends That Break Your Heart," last October. The British singer's songwriter is back and has released a new track titled "Pick Me Up" from the HBO original series "Euphoria." The soundtrack has already had several releases, from Lana Del Ray's "Watercolor Eyes." to the latest being Tove Lo's "How Long." "Euphoria" is written and directed by Sam Levinson. Executive producers are Sam Levinson, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Zendaya, Will Greenfield, Ashley Levinson, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, and Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein. The transgender consultant is Scott Turner Schofield. Kenneth Yu serves as a producer; Harrison Kreiss, Julio Perez and Jeremy O. Harris are Co-Producers. James Blake first received recognition for a series of 2010 EPs, including "CMYK" and "Klavierwerke," and he released his self-titled debut album in 2011 to critical praise. His second album, "Overgrown," was released in 2013, bringing him to international attention, and later was awarded the Mercury Prize. In 2016, he released his third album, "The Colour in Anything," and his fourth album, "Assume Form," in 2019, both receiving positive reviews. The latter became his highest-peaking album in the US Billboard 200.
