Singer-songwriter Kelis teamed up with a plant-based meal delivery service Daily Harvest to release a new song entitled “Feed Them” along with a music video. The song is included on the collaborative EP “Daily Harvest: Eat The Solution” in honour of Earth Month. The EP features five singer-songwriters, including Kelis, Kyla Imani, Shuba and Damoyee. Each artist shares their perspective on food's role in solving the climate and health crises. Linden Berelowitz and Stephen Satterthwaite wrote the track. Produced by Linden Jay Berelowitz. The video was filmed at Kelis' home farm in Temecula, California. Also, the song will appear on her upcoming seventh studio album, “Dirt.” Kelis said in a statement, “If we're able to plant these little seeds, give people the information and let them see how feasible and tangible eating the solution really is, that's the first step towards change.” She shared on social media, “The Earth gives us everything we need to nourish ourselves and our families if we take care of it. Healing our planet doesn't have to be so complicated. If we all just up our fruits + veggies and choose food that's good for us and the planet, we can all do our part to take better care of the Earth.” The upcoming project "Dirt" was preceded by the lead single "Midnight Snacks," which dropped in October alongside a music video. Kelis puts out music sporadically. She is not the type of artist that wants a frenzied music career. She now prioritizes being a mother (to a new toddler) and running a farm and culinary business.
