NEW MUSIC: KING PRINCESS | FOR MY FRIENDS

Two years ago, alt-pop singer King Princess released their debut album "Cheap Queen." Since then, they’ve been working on their follow-up album with their label boss Mark Ronson, a fellow NYC rich kid. We don’t know when that LP will arrive yet, but King Princess shared a couple of new singles, “Only Time Makes It Human” and “PAIN.” She also recently appeared on a new version of Griff & Sigrid’s collab single "Head on Fire." Teaming up with the duo and fellow popster MØ. In the months ahead, King Princess will head out on a couple of big tours with Kacey Musgraves and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. She has now treated us to another new single titled "For My Friends," which is about her two best friends from high school. In 2019, her debut album "Cheap Queen" was released via Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records/Columbia Records to widespread critical acclaim. She has performed on “Saturday Night Live” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and graced the cover of V Magazine, GQ Style UK, Highsnobiety and more. She sold out tours across North America and Europe with festival sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and more. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, King Princess is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Her 2018 debut single, an ode to untold queer histories titled “1950,” became an overnight smash hit with over 550 million streams to date and eventually achieved platinum status in the United States and Australia.
