NEW MUSIC: LANA DEL REY RELEASES THREE NEW TRACKS FROM HER UPCOMING ALBUM

Lana Del Rey announced the July 4 release date of her album "Blue Banisters" without so much as a single being released. Today she surprised fans as the singer-songwriter dropped three new songs, “Text Book,” “Wildflower Wildfire,” and “Blue Banisters.” Pitchfork sees each song's cover containing a small variation on the album's art, but a press release calls the song "buzz tracks in anticipation of her upcoming 8th studio album. Del Rey recorded all three of them without Jack Antonoff, her primary collaborator on Chemtrails Over The Country Club and its predecessor, 2019’s "Norman Fucking Rockwell!" Del Rey co-wrote “Blue Banisters” and “Text Book” with producer Gabe Simon, a member of the band Kopecky, who has collaborated with people like grandson and mxmtoon. She also co-wrote “Wildflower Wildfire” with Mike Dean, the veteran rap producer best known for his work with Kanye West.
