Legendary R&B singer Mary J. Blige has released not one but two new singles: “Good Morning Gorgeous” and “Amazing” featuring DJ Khaled. Blige will finally turn her full attention to a new album in early 2022. Her 14th studio LP and first since 2017’s "Strength of A Woman" is slated to arrive in January ahead of her anticipated co-headlining appearance during the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Inglewood, California. "Strength Of A Woman" included Blige’s hit single “Thick of It,” co-written by Jazmine Sullivan. The track strongly impacted radio, topping the R&B radio chart in just four weeks. Blige told Hall, “I’m not cocky. I’m not arrogant. But I earned the right to say some things. I earned the right to say, ‘I feel amazing.'” She added, “The reason why I said I feel amazing is not that every day is a great day, and I always wake up feeling — like this. It’s because when I wake up with no hair and makeup, I’m accepting that chick who goes to the bathroom. I like her. I hang out with myself a lot. I’m my own best friend…that’s why it’s cool.” Last month, it was revealed that Blige, who was previously signed to Republic, has formed a new partnership with 300 Entertainment, the current homes to acts like Young Thug, Migos, and Megan Thee Stallion. Also, in recent months, Blige has celebrated album milestones for No More Drama and My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1).
