Mary J. Blige has once again collaborated with Harlem rapper Dave East. However, this time it’s for her single titled “Rent Money,” co-written and produced by D’Mile. Easily a standout amongst the recent singles "Amazing," a track that arrived with help from DJ Khaled and "Good Morning Gorgeous," a song that mirrors the title of the singer's forthcoming album. “Rent Money” finds Blige scratching off a winning interpolation of a classic (“F**k You Tonight”) from The Notorious B.I.G.’s "Life After Death" album. Over a sophisticated Harlem night production, Blige sings about squandering too many emotions on an invaluable man who has left her scrounging the couch cushions for loose change and love. The album "Good Morning Gorgeous" comes out on Feb. 11. In addition to East, the LP includes stars like Usher, DJ Khaled, Anderson .Paak and Fivio Foreign. Two days following its release, Blige will take the SoFi Stadium stage for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. An official trailer for the performance bill she shares with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem dropped earlier this week. Meanwhile, Mary J Blige was recently nominated for an NAACP Image Award for her role as Monet “Power Book II: Ghost.”
