NEW MUSIC: MASKED WOLF | ASTRONAUT IN THE OCEAN (FEAT. G-EASY & DDG( (REMIX)

22-year-old rising rapper, now known as Masked Wolf has dropped a new remix to his hit "Astronaut In The Ocean" that features G-Easy & DDG. He got his start by bootlegging hip-hop CDs on the streets of Sydney to self-finance his debut project. “I paid for everything,” he says, adding that he had 500 copies made. After working his day job as a salesman and consultant, selling corporate printers and helping companies go digital, he walked around the city “trying to sell my album for $10.” All this has lead to today where he now scores his first-charting hit with the electric rap single “Astronaut in the Ocean,” which currently sits at No. 8 on the Billboard Global 200 and also at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. As of January, a signee to US label Elektra Records, Masked Wolf is hard at work on a new album. He talks to NME about how TikTok upended his life, wanting to collaborate with fellow breakout Aussie rapper The Kid LAROI and what his new material sounds like.
