NEW MUSIC: MAISIE PETERS | VOLCANO

British singer-songwriter Maisie Peters unveiled a new song, “Volcano,” which follows the release of two other tracks, "John Hughes Movie" and "Psycho," one of the three tracks on the album co-written by Ed Sheeran. She wrote the song with Brad Ellis, Jez Ashurst and Maisie Peters. Produced by Jez Ashurst and Bradford Ellis. This will serve as the final single before the album drops; she describes the track as a “sad-rage song about people who never pay the consequences for their actions.” Maisie said the album is her "(albeit not hugely long) life’s work" and "proudest achievement; it is my favourite album maybe ever, and whilst I may be biased, I really hope it goes into the world and becomes lots of other people’s favourite too." Since her first music release in 2017, the 21-year-old singer's songs had amassed half a billion streams worldwide, garnering the attention of Taylor Swift (for her cover of "Betty") and a spot on Niall Horan's "Nice to Meet Ya" world tour – before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After gaining popularity on YouTube, Peters signed with Atlantic Records and released the extended plays "Dressed Too Nice for a Jacket and It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral." Maisie Peter's upcoming debut album “You Signed Up For This” drops on August 18, 2021.
