NEW MUSIC: SIMPLE PLAN: CONGRATULATIONS + ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

Simple Plan has announced their highly anticipated new album, "Harder Than It Looks," which will be released on May 6th, 2022. They also shared a brand new song, "Congratulations." "Harder Than It Looks" marks the band’s first release since 2016’s Taking One For The Team. Which features previous singles "The Antidote" and "Ruin My Life." “We’re incredibly excited to finally share this news with our fans who have waited so patiently for this album. We poured our hearts and souls into these new songs, and we’re so proud of this record," the band explains. For Their sixth studio album, the guys seem to channel internal and emotional struggles on this record, something that many of their fans have strongly connected with over their 20-year tenure as a band. Life presents us with many tough challenges, whether work, family or relationships. It really is “harder than it looks.” Some of Simple Plan’s best work has been the light that gets us through each day. Their latest track, "Ruin My Life," really celebrated overcoming those hurdles and became the emo anthem we all needed in 2022. This brings us to the band’s newest track. "Congratulations" celebrates everything that comes around, goes around, the notion that only we are in control of our actions, no one else. The riffs thrown in on this track feel a little more of what we heard from the band’s fifth record, "Taking One For The Team." However, while the song doesn’t feel as empowering as its predecessor, it presents more of that contemporary Simple Plan sound.
