NEW MUSIC: SWEDISH HOUSE FEAT. THE WEEKND | MOTH TO A FLAME

After weeks of teasing, Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd collaboration "Moth To A Flame" has dropped. The record marks the third release since the trio returned in 2021. After the pandemic saw The Weeknd's “After Hours” era dominate with hit singles “Heartless,” “Blinding Lights,” “In Your Eyes,” and “Save Your Tears” — as well as a bit of gig at the Super Bowl halftime show in February — the enigmatic artist has hung up his crimson costume and is moving on to a new phase with “Moth to a Flame." Moth To A Flame follows the unique musical style the trio has been exploring since the return—more radio-friendly vibes, soft and intimate vocals, and catchy but also relaxing in a way percussions. The tune features the extraordinary song of Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd. "Moth To A Flame" starts with the snipped reproduced for the first time during the MTV EMAs. The official music video is like the previous one, is directed by Alexander Wessely. He’s also been in charge of the creative direction of the whole aesthetic of the trio since his return this year. You can feel the dark and mysterious vibes on all its work, including the cover of "Moth To A Flame." The foreground of The Weeknd, under a blue/dark green light with the three stars reflected on the sunglasses, clearly represents Swedish House Mafia.
