EDM stars Swedish House Mafia have released another new song, “Lifetime,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake. Starting with soulful vocals and a bassline that’s addictive, the track is set up beautifully. The pop texture of the song is so gripping, ensuring one’s heart to throb and, at the same time, groove on the dance floor helplessly. It seems certain that Swedish House Mafia has struck the right chords to create music relevant to 2021 and still knows how to be hit-makers. Swedish House Mafia also released a music video for “Lifetime.” Alexander Wessely directed the clip, and it follows the trio as they march through a vast desert before stumbling across a strange monolith that appears to lead to another world. “Lifetime” is the follow-up to “It Gets Better,” which Swedish House Mafia released last Thursday, July 15th. The track marked the group’s first since their 2012 album "Until Now;" the group went on hiatus the following year. Swedish House Mafia is set to perform the single together with the collaborators on Jimmy Fallon later today; whether or not that will be an in-studio performance is yet to be confirmed.
