NEW MUSIC: THE WOMBATS | IF YOU EVER LEAVE, I'M COMING WITH YOU

British alt-rock band The Wombats, consisting of Matthew Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis, premiered a new song, “If You Ever Leave, I'm Coming With You." They also shared details of their upcoming album "Fix Yourself, Not The World" alongside a new single. The single “If You Ever Leave, I’m Coming With You” is a pulsing track that explores the pandemic’s impact on interpersonal relationships. Frontman and lead singer Matthew Murphy said this about the song: “I noticed that 2020 and 2021 put some serious strain on interpersonal relationships; it felt like people around me were really struggling. For me, ‘If You Ever Leave, I’m Coming With You’ taps into all of that and asks the question, is it the circumstances putting undue stress on people? Or have the circumstances shed light on people’s incompatibility with one another?” "Fix Yourself, Not The World" will drop on January 7, 2022, via AWAL. It will be The Wombats’ fifth studio album and the follow-up to 2018’s Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life." The album was recorded remotely during the coronavirus lockdowns. The trio was completely separated as Murphy is based in LA, bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen is in Oslo, and drummer Dan Haggis is in London.
