Rock legend Meat Loaf passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 74. We would now like to celebrate his great works and revisit his colossal hit " I'd Do Anything for Love." Marvin Lee Aday, better known by his stage name Meat Loaf, has been wowing the world with his powerful music since the '70s. His theatrical performances were legendary, and you could tell right away that this man was passionate about rock music. He has sold over 100 million copies of his albums and appeared in over 60 films during his career. In addition to big hits like " Heaven Can Wait " or " Bat Out of Hell, "it was the rock anthem "I'd Do Anything for Love" that delighted fans all over the world. The single was released in 1993 from his album " Bat Out of Hell " and reached number 1 on the charts in 28 countries. It was Meat Loaf's first and only number one solo single in most countries and was number one in the US for five weeks and sold over 1.4 million copies there. In the UK, it topped the singles chart, and "I'd Do Anything for Love" became the longest song on top there since The Beatles' hit "Hey Jude" This was then broken when Oasis released their 1997 single "All Around the World," clocking in at 9 minutes and 20 seconds.
