RACHEL BOCHNER | GHOSTED MY THERAPIST

ree

NYC-based artist Rachel Bochner got her start in the music industry with an A&R internship at a record label, and it was there that she realized her true passion for creating and sharing her own music. Today she released her new single, "Ghosted My Therapist," an anthem for all twenty-somethings navigating the realities of growing up. The track stays true to Rachel's indie-pop influences, combining driving guitar and layered harmonies with electronic ear candy. Her passion lies in making pop music that resonates with people through the good, the bad, the lighthearted, and the heavy.

YOUNG BOMBS | SUMMER IN BROOKLYN

ree

Vancouver’s own Young Bombs team up with Los Angeles singer-songwriter JORDY to release their latest single, “Summer In Brooklyn.” Paying homage to New York City’s most lively borough, full of outgoing people and rich in culture. With that in mind, Young Bombs and JORDY deliver the hottest summer bop anthem. From the catchy chorus, powerful EDM buildup, and lyrics that illustrate the fun of being in a big city, the feel-good track makes you want to get up and dance the night away. With nearly 100 million streams in four years, the Young Bombs duo of Martin and Tristan cooked up 45 remixes by 2018, and in 2019, the duo leaped faith to make music for themselves. “Summer In Brooklyn” is the first song the group has released with his major label Sony Music. Tristan explains, “We’d been working on our project all along, but we finally got the sound to the point where we felt like we could make a statement. We were able to make something that spoke to us lyrically, melodically, and emotionally.” Even with the new change, their musical trajectory has only skyrocketed, and with their new song, it’s clear that the sound they have been searching for has been found.

IMAGINE DRAGONS | IT'S OK

ree

Reynolds and the rest of Imagine Dragons – guitarist Wayne Sermon, drummer Daniel Platzman and bassist Ben McKee have just released their fifth studio album, “Mercury – Act 1." One of the standout tracks from the record is a song titled "It's OK" which one of the first songs they wrote for the record, about three years ago. Here is what Reynolds said about the track, "we don’t spend every day talking about death because it’s a scary, open-ended conversation. I wanted (this song) to be a celebration of life and knowing that one day, it’s going to be OK. Even if that’s not true, that is the perspective that I have to keep in mind because I have kids who will go into the world, and I want it to be a fantastic place for my four kids, and I want them to know there is always tomorrow to rid yourself of toxic people.” Reynolds has previously publicly discussed three early singles from the album, “Wrecked,” “Cutthroat," and "Follow You." The first is a tender tribute to his sister-in-law, Alisha, who died of cancer in 2019, while “Cutthroat” is what Reynolds called “an exorcism in self-pity” and "Follow You" a love letter to his wife.
