SONGS YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS WEEK

HOLLY HUMBERSTONE | LONDON IS LONELY

21-year-old singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone has released a brand new single called ‘London Is Lonely after teasing it earlier in the month, which documents the story of moving to London and feeling disconnected and isolated. “I wrote ‘London Is Lonely’ back in February 2020, right before the pandemic hit here in the UK,” Humberstone said of the song. “I had just moved out of my childhood home down to London and had spent the past few months feeling really trapped and alone in my tiny flat with strangers. London felt so intense, and although there were so many people around me, I felt even more isolated and like I didn’t belong. The song will appear on her upcoming debut album, expected to be released later this year.

SABRINA CLAUDIO | PUT ON REPEAT

In almost two years, the critically acclaimed Puerto Rican/Cuban songstress Sabrina Claudio has shared her first dose of new music. Produced by Jonah Christian (Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, 6LACK, Burna Boy, Normani, Anderson. Paak) with additional production from Sad Money (Khalid, Pink Sweat$, Chloe & Halle), the sultry and alluring single, "Put On Repeat." "Put On Repeat" follows Sabrina's 2020 holiday album Christmas Blues, an eight-song collection highlighted by her Christmas favourites and A-list features from superstars, The Weeknd and Alicia Keys. WATTS (Katy Perry, Noah Cyrus, Steve Aoki) directed the accompanying music video. You can watch the incredibly stunning avant-garde companion video on Sabrina's official YouTube channel.

LAURA MARANO & WRABEL | WORST KIND OF HURT

Laura Marano has released her brand new song “Worst Kind of Hurt” with Wrabel. The 26-year-old actress and singer’s new track is also featured in her brand new Netflix movie "The Royal Treatment," which is set to premiere today (January 20), as well as an upcoming tour. "The Royal Treatment," starring Laura Marano and being produced by Vanessa Marano, is about a New York hairdresser, Isabella! Isabella runs her salon and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, while Prince Thomas runs his own country and is about to marry for duty rather than love. When Izzy and her fellow stylists get the opportunity of a lifetime to do the hair for the royal wedding, she and Prince Thomas learn that taking control of their destiny requires following their hearts.

CHELSEA COLLINS | WISH U HELL

Coming at us full force this week with her angst-ridden new single is Chelsea Collins with “WISH U HELL.” Taking us through a smooth production with her sugary sweet vocals, the singer-songwriter gets candid on the single as she pulls back the layers on exactly how she feels and holds nothing back. From the thunderous guitar streeks to the fierce and sassy lyrics, the rising star invites us to explore her emotions with her while navigating a new chapter all about empowerment and change. Coming alongside a ritualistic and atmospheric video shot by LA-based creative Ben Allen, the singer surrounds herself with animal-masked figures as they perform cult-like rituals. Deciding to set herself free at the climax, the singer brings the song's meaning to life and perfectly captures those moments of change and realization.

JAX | TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE

Multi-talented singer-songwriter Jax kicks off 2022 with her swooning new single "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" via Atlantic Records alongside a charmingly funny music video. Co-written by Jax and produced by Mark Nilan Jr (Lady Gaga, Trey Songz), the song pays homage to a tumultuous dating past that paved the way to greener pastures. "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" follows an incredible year for Jax, arriving on the heels of her heartwarming ballad "Like My Father," which has amassed over 80 million streams and was crowned amongst "the best father-daughter dance songs of all time" by The Knot. Meanwhile, her nostalgia-fueled anthem "90s Kids" received over 1 million weekly streams for 21 consecutive weeks. The label-debut single "Ring Pop" yielded high-profile appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Access Hollywood & more.

SEAGIRLS | SLEEPING WITH YOU

Sea Girls have shared an emotive new single, ‘Sleeping With You,’ the band's first new material of 2022. It’s taken from their upcoming new album ‘Homesick,’ which is released on March 25 with last year's "Hometown," "Again Again," and "Sick." The album is produced by Larry Hibbitt and features co-production from Jacknife Lee, Jonny Coffer and Cass Lowe. The band’s breakthrough debut album, "Open Your Head," tackled many themes, including mental health, drug use and regret. The follow-up addresses similarly stark ideas. “I thought a lot about mortality and dying – what it means to be alive and how lucky we are,” Camomile previously said. “All the songs came after the pandemic started, so thematically it intensified things.
