Nina Nesbitt lines up a big year ahead as she today shares her brand new single, "When You Lose Someone." It comes as she prepares to work on her eagerly anticipated third album, which will follow later this year. Nina’s new music follows the huge global fanbase she established with her second album, "The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change." That project accumulated over 530 million streams, including 100 million+ for the Radio 1 playlisted ‘The Best You Had’ - a song that won over famous fans led by Taylor Swift and Chloë Grace Moretz. "When You Lose Someone" also has another trait of a classic pop song - the ability to be interpreted in different but immensely personal ways. For some, it will be about the death of a loved one; for others, it will be about a break-up or even separation by distance. Whatever it means, Nina’s performance is a warm, comforting hug of a song that reminds listeners that they’re not the only one battling through such emotions.
JONAH KAGEN | DROWNING
Multi-talented musician, Jonah Kagen, drops his new single "Drowning" via Arista Records. The single, co-written by Joe Janiak (Lewis Capaldi, Snakehips, MØ, Avicii, Tove Styrke, Sigrid), highlights Kagen's ability to fuse his virtuosic guitar skills with folk-inspired lyrics resulting in a miles-wide emotional sweep. Jonah shares, "Drowning" is a very special song for me. The lyrics come from a very close story to my heart, and it's filled with so much emotion. I'm excited to share it and hope that you will resonate with it in your own way." Having recently relocated to Los Angeles, Kagen shot a video for the song with Camila Noriega on the beaches of Malibu. Next month Jonah heads off on his first U.S. tour as the support for Maisie Peters. The dates start in Minneapolis, MN, on March 1 and conclude on April 1 in Los Angeles. Along the way, he will make stops in, among other markets, Chicago, New York City, Dallas, and Vancouver.

Platinum Certified singer-songwriter from Los Angeles Zhavia Ward, aka Zhavia has released a new song, “God Sent You” Last year, she released only one single, “Big Girl$ Don't Cry,” as her own song and joined in Lil Skies' “My Baby.” But she recorded the new song last December and teased the new track on social media. The new song was written by Zhavia Ward, TheBoyKam, Tory Lanez, SAUCEboy, Jonah Zed, Gray Hawken, Dnny Phntm and Adriano and produced by TheBoyKam, SAUCEboy, Dnny Phntm and Adriano. She rose to fame after competing in the singing reality television show "The Four: Battle for Stardom," which premiered on Fox in January 2018, where she was one of four finalists. In May 2018, Ward signed a deal with Columbia Records. She has over 400 million views of Zhavia’s music videos, including her award-winning rendition of “A Whole New World” with ZAYN for Aladdin and Deadpool 2’s “Welcome To The Party,” alongside Diplo, Lil Pump, and French Montana.
ALEXANDER 23 | HATE ME IF IT HELPS
Alexander 23 has shared his new song, a guitar-backed, breakup track, "Hate Me If It Helps," co-written by Olivia Rodrigo. The sprawling indie-pop cut marks the return of the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer (real name Alexander Glantz) following the release of his 2021 EP, "Oh No, Not Again!." The lyrics reflect the singer’s real-life experience with his last relationship, which “ended in a really tricky way.” “I still really loved her, but there were some existential factors that forced me to make a really hard decision,” Alexander admits. “In theory, I want her to do whatever she needs to do to move on, even if that means hating me. But in practice, whether it’s fair or not, I’m really hurt by the idea of her feeling that way about me.” Co-written with Rodrigo – who Alexander worked with on her chart-topping hit "Good 4 U" – it arrives with a beautifully shot, self-directed video. This year looks set to be a big one for Alexander, whose yet-to-be-titled debut album is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2022, produced by Dan Nigro.
EMILY ROBERTS | SOAP
Singer-songwriter Emily Roberts takes part in the German ESC preliminary round "Germany 12 Points" with the song "Soap" she sings for the ticket to Turin on March 4th. Emily says about her ESC song: "It's energetic, very modern and invites you to sing along. And has a message that everyone understands. We smile through the pain and dance to it!" For Emily, who has been living in Berlin for several years, taking part in the ESC, the world's largest music competition, sounds like excitement and great encounters. She wants to show in Turin that good pop music can also come from Germany. She grew up listening to the songs of the Beatles and Joni Mitchell. Today, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin are her musical role models. Musically, she locates herself in pop, for her, a field where you can let off steam. "I sing because I love it, but also as a means to an end. A song is the most beautiful way to compress feelings in three minutes. I always write from the heart and sometimes too close to the truth."
THE HEAD AND THE HEART | VIRGINIA (WIND IN THE NIGHT)
The Head and the Heart have released “Virginia (Wind in the Night),” the second track from their upcoming album, "Every Shade of Blue," out April 29 via Warner. ”Being from Virginia, for me, this song represents a long and winding relationship to place — a place that is grounding,” singer Jonathan Russell said in a statement about the Jesse Shatkin-produced track. “I’m often drawing on my life through symbolism as a way into someone else’s psyche. It’s part of my search for a deeper connection without having to compare our experiences directly.” This bittersweet track showcases the band playing to their strengths: a sturdy piano sound garnished with strings and perfectly paired with Jonathan Russell’s evocative lyrics. "Every Shade of Blue" follows the group’s 2019 LP, "Living Mirage." The band previously shared the title track last month. To accompany the release of their upcoming April album, The Head and the Heart are hitting the road in late May, with Shakey Graves, Dawes, and Jade Bird joining as special guests.
