Billie Eilish has dropped a brand new music video for "Male Fantasy," the closing track from her third studio LP, July's "Happier Than Ever," which is nominated for the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album awards at the 2022 Grammys. Its title track is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Solo Pop Performance, and the song's visual treatment is nominated for Best Music Video. Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter To Los Angeles is nominated for Best Music Film. "Male Fantasy" deals with post-breakup depression and undercuts the callous message of "Happier Than Ever," which comes directly before the album. Eilish directed and edited the music video, which is appropriately gloomy. In it, she wanders through a claustrophobic apartment — staring at the TV, her reflection in the mirror, the contents of the fridge, and the walls around her. Billie Eilish recently made history as the youngest-ever person to win PETA’s Person Of The Year award. The 19-year-old was nominated for her animal rights advocacy, including getting designer Oscar de la Renta to commit to going fur-free – a moment Eilish recently described as a career highlight.
